Sleep disorders are conditions that disrupt sleep and can negatively impact physical and mental health. The most common sleep disorders are insomnia, sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, circadian rhythm disorder, and narcolepsy.
Insomnia is one of the most common sleep disorders, affecting around 30% of the population. People with insomnia find it difficult to fall asleep, often wake up during the night and wake up early in the morning. Insomnia can be caused by stress, anxiety, depression, pain, or taking medication.
